Ever since I was little, I have had a strong desire to be creative with my hands. I hung around builders already at the age of 9. When I was in high school I helped set up the schools new wood work shop. My Opa was a builder and I always liked it when my dad did work around the house. When I graduated I went into sales for I loved that field as well. For close to 20 years I held a few different sales positions, taking care of clients needs and receiving numerous awards for exceeding sales targets and client retention. All the while I did handyman work in the offices I worked out of, and did work for neighbours and friends. I always felt I was still missing something so a few years ago, I started my own handyman business. I didn't know what to name my business, but one day it just came to me, so named it HandyDam because my last name is Dam. I continuously speak to others in the building/Handyman industry to stay on top of best practises and tools. I take courses whenever availible, in doing so I make sure the job is done right and to or above code. I am a member of The Association of Certified Handyman Professionals (ACHP).
I have taken the Fall Arrest, Aerial Lifts & Aerial Work Platforms as well as WHMIS training courses
I do work mainly in Burlington, Hamilton and Oakville. I have on occasion done work outside these areas. Like Grimsby and Mississauga and the surrounding areas.
